RESIDENTIAL BURGLARIES
There were 4 in Torrance.  1 in Southeast Torrance, 1 in Old Torrance and 2 in North Torrance.
 
7 4 18  2:45 PM                1900 Block of 233rd St (Southeast  Torrance)  Suspect is interrupted while attempting to
take property from victim’s garage.
 
7 5 18  5 to 7:31PM         2400 Block El Dorado St (Old Torrance)  Suspect removed screen, enters window,
ransacks, puts electronics in bags and flees when victims return home.  No loss.  Torrance Police were called
while suspect was in the residence and a containment area was established resulting in a suspect in custody.
 
7 5 18  2:05PM                3400 Block of 187th St (North Torrance)  Suspect removed screen, entered open window
and took cash.
 
7 3 18  4:15 to 4:30 PM  2200 Block of 180th St (North Torrance)  Sliding glass door smashed for entry,
property ransacked with unknown loss of property.
 
AUTO BURGLARIES
There were 13 in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance.
Windows were smashed in 6 vehicles and 4 vehicles were unlocked.
Items stolen included bowling bag, bowling ball, bowling shoes, sweaters, hat, 3 wallets, keys, 2 purses,
2 garage remotes, tire locking kit, eyeglasses, gift cards, credit cards, backpack, documents, speaker, 
  sunglasses, cash, frame gun, nailer, staple gun, air compressor, belt sander,
ID, bag of laundry, emergency pack, umbrella, tools, tool bag, nail gun, compressor, tool box, and tools.
 
AUTO THEFT
There were 3 vehicle thefts in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance.
A 2018 Lexus RX 350 was stolen from the 24700 Block of Crenshaw Blvd on July 6th at 8:16 AM.
 
THEFT
There were 11 incidents in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance.
One instance of delivered parcels stolen on July 5th in the 3400 Block of Garnet St.

Paper Shredding and Electronics Recycling for Torrance Residents Only

City of Torrance Public Works is holding an Earth Day recycling event for free paper shredding and electronics recycling. Saturday, August 21, 2021 8 a.m. - noon Torrance City Hall East Employee Parking Lot (near Torrance Courthouse off Maple Avenue) The Recycling Event is for TORRANCE RESIDENTS ONLY.
