Weekly Crime Report for Southeast Torrance


This Report is for Sunday, March 1, 2015 through Saturday, March 7, 2015.

 

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARIES

There were only two in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance.

 

Friday, March 6th 6:30 AM 2900 Block Maricopa St (Madrona HOA area)

Suspect pried off screen, entered through open window and opened refrigerator.

Property loss unknown at time of report.

 

Monday, March 2nd  9 AM to 6PM, 16800 Kornblum Avenue (North Torrance)

Suspect attempted to force open rear door but fled when observed by witness.

No loss

 

AUTO BURGLARIES

There were 11 in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance.  3 vehicles were unlocked.

 

AUTO THEFT

There was one stolen vehicle in Old Torrance.

 

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY

23000 Block Crenshaw Blvd.  Three businesses were burglarized during the weekend

of March 6, 7 and 8.  Door handles were pried off two firms but there was no entry.

Suspect was successful in prying off one door handle for entry.  Cash registered was

opened and checks, cash, checkbooks, tablet and MP3 were stolen.

Paper Shredding and Electronics Recycling for Torrance Residents Only

City of Torrance Public Works is holding an Earth Day recycling event for free paper shredding and electronics recycling. Saturday, August 21, 2021 8 a.m. - noon Torrance City Hall East Employee Parking Lot (near Torrance Courthouse off Maple Avenue) The Recycling Event is for TORRANCE RESIDENTS ONLY.
