This report is for Sunday, March 15th through Saturday, March 21, 2015.
 
RESIDENTIAL BURGLARIES
There were 6 residential burglaries in Torrance.
2 in North Torrance, 2 in Riviera area, 1 near Hickory School and 1 in Southeast Torrance.
 
5 of the 6 burglaries occurred via a pet door, unlocked rear door, unlocked sliding door,
open window and open bathroom window.
 
S.E. Torrance   Wednesday, March 18th, 9 AM to 5:15 PM, 23100 Block Walnut Street
Suspect entered unlocked rear door, ransacked and took jewelry, electronics.
 
AUTO BURGLARIES
There were 12 auto burglaries and none in Southeast Torrance. 
5 vehicles were unlocked.
 
AUTO THEFT
There were 6 stolen vehicles and none were stolen in Southeast Torrance.
 
THEFT
Catalytic converters were stolen from 3 vehicles over the weekend at the following locations.
S.E. Torrance     2000 Block Middlebrook Road
Old Torrance     Plaza Del Amo and Andreo
                           2000 Block Carson St

Paper Shredding and Electronics Recycling for Torrance Residents Only

City of Torrance Public Works is holding an Earth Day recycling event for free paper shredding and electronics recycling. Saturday, August 21, 2021 8 a.m. - noon Torrance City Hall East Employee Parking Lot (near Torrance Courthouse off Maple Avenue) The Recycling Event is for TORRANCE RESIDENTS ONLY.
