RESIDENTIAL BURGLARIES
There were 5 residential burglaries in Torrance.  1 each in Old Torrance, West
Torrance, North Torrance, the Riveria and Southeast Torrance.
 
Thursday, October 10th   8 AM to 3:30 PM   2000 Block Middlebrook Road (Walnut)
Suspect entered residence by unknown means and took laptop and gift cards.
 
AUTO THEFT

Stolen 97 GMC Jimmy
 
Wednesday, October 9th   1:13PM  2400 Block 227th Street (Pennsylvania)
Stolen 98 Mitsubishi Mirage
 
SIMPLE BATTERY
Sunday, October 6th    10:32 PM   23700 Block Western Avenue
Suspect grabs victim’s hair before repeatedly punching victim in the head and
face, slamming her head into the floor and choking her.
 
Sunday, October 6th   9:08 PM     23000 Block Huber Avenue (Walnut)
Suspect repeatedly punches victim in the head and face.

Paper Shredding and Electronics Recycling for Torrance Residents Only

City of Torrance Public Works is holding an Earth Day recycling event for free paper shredding and electronics recycling. Saturday, August 21, 2021 8 a.m. - noon Torrance City Hall East Employee Parking Lot (near Torrance Courthouse off Maple Avenue) The Recycling Event is for TORRANCE RESIDENTS ONLY.
