Torrance morning crash kills driver, closes Crenshaw Blvd., Skypark Drive

A motorist was killed early Tuesday morning when he crashed into a light pole in Torrance, police said.
The investigation forced the closure of the southbound lanes of Crenshaw Boulevard near Skypark Drive.
Police said the driver was south on Crenshaw at 4:10 a.m. when his car left the roadway, hit a light pole and struck a tree on the sidewalk.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
Crenshaw remained closed through the morning commute.
