STREET CLOSURES IN SOUTHEAST TORRANCE

On Friday August 31, 2012, the following streets in Southeast Torrance will be
closed from 7am to 4:30pm for street repair work:

• The cul se sac of 243rd Pl. east of Walnut St.
• 242nd Pl. between Walnut Ave. and Huber Ave.
• The cul de sac of Falena Ave. north of 242nd Pl.
• Huber Ave. between 242nd Pl. and 238th St.
• The cul de sac of Falena Ave. north of 244th St.
• 244th St. between Falena Ave. and the city border to the east
• Falena Ave. between 244th St. and the city border to the south

No reported residential burglaries again this reporting period.

Vandalism (Fuel & Flee) 8 21 2012 1:25PM Scotto Chevron, 2700 Block Cabrillo
Avenue Suspect fails to remove hose from vehicle causing damage to gas pump.

Vandalism 8 20 12 PM to 8 21 9AM 2100 Block 235th Place (between
Arlington and Cabrillo) Vehicle paint scratched and obscenities sketched on
vehicle.

Auto Burglary 8 25 12 PM to 8 26 PM 2400 Block 227th St (Pennsylvania)
Windows on two vehicles smashed for entry. Property taken/duffel bag, paperwork,
wallet, cell phone.

Paper Shredding and Electronics Recycling for Torrance Residents Only

City of Torrance Public Works is holding an Earth Day recycling event for free paper shredding and electronics recycling. Saturday, August 21, 2021 8 a.m. - noon Torrance City Hall East Employee Parking Lot (near Torrance Courthouse off Maple Avenue) The Recycling Event is for TORRANCE RESIDENTS ONLY.
