Weekly Crime Report, Monday August 13th through Saturday, August 18,2012

 No reported incidents to the Torrance Police Department during the reporting period.  Two
weeks in a row without a residential burglary.

NASA aircraft to fly over Los Angeles area August 25

Two NASA jets, a T-38 and an F-18 will fly approximately 1,500 feet above Los Angeles starting at 8a.m., Saturday, August 25th.  These flights are intended to capture photographic imagery.  If delayedby weather or other circumstances, the jets will fly at 12:30p.m.  If the flights are cancelled, they will be rescheduled.

These jets are expected to be testing the flight patten for the space shuttle Endeavor's last flight on the 747 to a new home at the California Science Center in Exposition Park on September 20th.

City of Torrance Public Works is holding an Earth Day recycling event for free paper shredding and electronics recycling.
