RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY
There was 1 in the Southwood Riviera area.
AUTO BURGLARIES
There were only 3 in Torrance and 1 in Southeast Torrance.
8 18 2020  11:15AM 2400 Block Sepulveda Blvd (Commercial)
Suspect pried off window seal, defeated door lock for entry, ransacked and there was no property loss.
AUTO THEFT
There were 14 in Torrance and 1 in Southeast Torrance.
8 19 2020  2300 Block Sepulveda Blvd (Commercial) 2003 Honda Civic.
THEFT
There were 14 incidents in Torrance and 1 in Southeast Torrance.
A total of 10 catalytic converters were stolen this week.
8 18 2020  23000 Block Crenshaw Blvd (Commercial) Stolen catalytic converter.
ROBBERY - WEAPON
8 19 2020 2:10 PM  Arlington and Engracia  Suspect presses handgun against victim's head and forcibly takes her purse.
8 20 2020 1:40 AM 2500 Block Torrance Blvd.
Suspects enter open business, repeatedly punch and pistol-whip employee, threaten to shoot him and demand he open the cash registers before taking property/cash.

Paper Shredding and Electronics Recycling for Torrance Residents Only

City of Torrance Public Works is holding an Earth Day recycling event for free paper shredding and electronics recycling. Saturday, August 21, 2021 8 a.m. - noon Torrance City Hall East Employee Parking Lot (near Torrance Courthouse off Maple Avenue) The Recycling Event is for TORRANCE RESIDENTS ONLY.
