RESIDENTIAL BURGLARIES
There were 4 in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance.
1 in Country Hills, 1 in Southwood Riviera, 1 in North Torrance and 1 at the Double Tree Hotel.
 
AUTO BURGLARIES
There were 11 in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance.
 
AUTO THEFT
There were 10 in Torrance and 2 in Southeast Torrance.

THEFT
There were 18 incidents in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance.
No reported incidents of porch piracy.
 
There was a noticeable increase in stolen vehicle catalytic converters.
13 were stolen in Torrance during the week with 8 in North Torrance, 4 in Old Torrance
and 1 at Del Amo.

Paper Shredding and Electronics Recycling for Torrance Residents Only

City of Torrance Public Works is holding an Earth Day recycling event for free paper shredding and electronics recycling. Saturday, August 21, 2021 8 a.m. - noon Torrance City Hall East Employee Parking Lot (near Torrance Courthouse off Maple Avenue) The Recycling Event is for TORRANCE RESIDENTS ONLY.
