This report is for Sunday, May 12, 2019 through Saturday, May 18,2019.
There are 56 incidents in the Torrance Police Department Weekly Crime Log at:
 
RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY
There were none reported in Torrance.
 
AUTO BURGLARIES
There were 13 in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance.
4 vehicles were unsecured and windows were smashed for entry in 5 vehicles.
 
AUTO THEFT
There were 2 incidents in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance.
 
THEFT
There were 8 in Torrance and 1 in Southeast Torrance.
 
5/17/19 Overnight  24300 Block Falena Avenue  Side gates removed from property.
 
Catalytic converters were stolen from vehicles in North Torrance and Old Torrance.
A delivered parcel was stolen from a porch in the 900 Block of Amapola in Old Torrance
between Noon, 5 13 19 to 6:30AM 5 14 19.
 
VANDALISM
There were 20 incidents in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance.
Pellet guns were used to damaged windows in 6 commercial businesses.

Paper Shredding and Electronics Recycling for Torrance Residents Only

City of Torrance Public Works is holding an Earth Day recycling event for free paper shredding and electronics recycling. Saturday, August 21, 2021 8 a.m. - noon Torrance City Hall East Employee Parking Lot (near Torrance Courthouse off Maple Avenue) The Recycling Event is for TORRANCE RESIDENTS ONLY.
