RESIDENTIAL BURGLARIES
There were two in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance.
1 in North Torrance and 1 in Old Torrance.
 
AUTO BURGLARIES
There were 19 in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance.
Windows were smashed in 6 vehicles and 5 vehicles were unlocked.
 
AUTO THEFT
There were 7 vehicles stolen in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance.
 
THEFT
There were 18 incidents in Torrance and one in Southeast Torrance.
5 10 19  4:50PM  2200 Block Sepulveda Blvd  License plate removed from parked vehicle.
 
Catalytic converters were removed from 2 vehicles in North Torrance and 1 vehicle in Old Torrance. 
Porch pirates stole delivered parcels in the Hillside and Southwood areas.
 
VANDALISM
There were 8 incidents in Torrance and 1 in Southeast Torrance.
5/5/19  2:19PM  1700 Block 243rd St  Suspect shot arrow and damaged security screen door.
 
BATTERY-SIMPLE
There was 1 incident in Torrance and it was in Southeast Torrance.
5/9/19  12:50 AM  23000 Block Arlington Av  Suspect forces entry to residence, charges at victim
and repeatedly punches victim in the face.
 
BATTERY-WEAPON/AGG
5/5/19  3:30 PM  23700 Block Lucille Av  Suspect repeatedly punches victim in the face and hits him
in the head with a ceramic mug.

Paper Shredding and Electronics Recycling for Torrance Residents Only

City of Torrance Public Works is holding an Earth Day recycling event for free paper shredding and electronics recycling. Saturday, August 21, 2021 8 a.m. - noon Torrance City Hall East Employee Parking Lot (near Torrance Courthouse off Maple Avenue) The Recycling Event is for TORRANCE RESIDENTS ONLY.
