This report is for Sunday, May 22, 2016 through Saturday, May 28, 2016.
There were 49 incidents reported.
 
RESIDENTIAL BURGLARIES
There were three in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance.
2 in North Torrance and 1 in Old Torrance.
 
AUTO BURGLARY
There were seven in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance.
Items taken from vehicles included:
Sunglasses, Backpacks, Laptop, Books, Folders, Cords, Cables, Cash
Watch, Medication, Fishing Reels, Multimeter Tool, Xacto Knives,
Toiletries, Third Row Seat, Charger.
 
AUTO THEFT
There were nine stolen vehicles and one in Southeast Torrance.
Friday, May 27th 9 PM to Saturday, May 28th 8 AM  2400 Block Sepulveda  2006 Ford Van
 
THEFT
There were fifteen reported thefts and none in Southeast Torrance.
A partial list includes  a delivered parcel taken from a front porch in the 4100 Block of 176th St.
A delivered parcel taken from a front porch in the 2500 Block of Plaza Del Amo.
Outgoing mail clipped to a mailbox taken from the 22700 Block of Nadine Circle.
 
5,500 gallons of diesel fuel siphoned from a underground fuel tank in the Torrance Unified
School District enclosure at 2300 Plaza Del Amo on Sunday, May 22nd between 8 PM and 10:25 PM.
5,500 times $2.40 per gallon = $13,200.

Paper Shredding and Electronics Recycling for Torrance Residents Only

City of Torrance Public Works is holding an Earth Day recycling event for free paper shredding and electronics recycling. Saturday, August 21, 2021 8 a.m. - noon Torrance City Hall East Employee Parking Lot (near Torrance Courthouse off Maple Avenue) The Recycling Event is for TORRANCE RESIDENTS ONLY.
