Weekly Crime Report for Southeast Torrance


This report is for Sunday, October 4, 2015 through Saturday, October 10, 2015
55 incidents were reported to Torrance Police during the period.
 
RESIDENTIAL BURGLARIES
There were 7 in Torrance.  3 in Old Torrance, 2 in Southeast Torrance and 2 in the Hillside area.
Windows were left open in three of the homes.
 
Wednesday, October 7th, 9:10 AM to 10 AM, 1900 Block 234th St (Cabrillo)
Suspect entered open window, ransacked and took electronics/jewelry.
Los Angeles County Sheriff Deputies made arrests in this incident.
 
Friday, October 9th, 10 AM to 4PM, 2300 Block 230th St (Arlington-Pennsylvania)
Suspect entered open window, ransacked and took laptops, tablet and cash.
 
AUTO BURGLARIES
There were 16 in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance.
6 vehicles were unlocked and windows were smashed in 8 vehicles.
 
AUTO THEFT
There were 11 in Torrance including a 2012 Harley Davidson but none in Southeast Torrance.

Paper Shredding and Electronics Recycling for Torrance Residents Only

City of Torrance Public Works is holding an Earth Day recycling event for free paper shredding and electronics recycling. Saturday, August 21, 2021 8 a.m. - noon Torrance City Hall East Employee Parking Lot (near Torrance Courthouse off Maple Avenue) The Recycling Event is for TORRANCE RESIDENTS ONLY.
