Activitation of Upgraded Traffic Signals in Southeast Torrance


The new protected/permissive signals and signage have been installed at Sepulveda Blvd and Arlington Avenue & Sepulveda Blvd and Cabrillo Avenue. 
 
The signals will be activated  beginning at 9:00 AM, Tuesday, July 1st.  The work will start first at Arlington and Sepulveda.  When those signals
are functioning, the work will begin on the intersection at Cabrillo Avenue and Sepulveda Blvd. 
 
Left-turns will be prohibited and the intersections will be 4-way stop controlled during the switch-over to the new signals.
 
Delays are expected.  Use of alternate routes is recommended to avoid delays.

This report is for Sunday, July 11, 2021 through Saturday, July 17, 2021. 45 incidents reported in the City of Torrance Crime Log at: https://www.torranceca.gov/home/showpublisheddocument/67336/637625553607530000 RESIDENTIAL BURGLARIES There were 3 in Torrance. 1 each in Southeast Torrance, Old Torrance and the Hillside area. Southeast Torrance 7 12 5PM 2400 Block 235th Place Suspect entered open garage, entered residence via open access door, fled when resident yelled at him. No property loss Old Torrance 7 12 1AM 800 Block Portola Ave Suspected entered residence via unlocked door and fled when victim woke up in the bedroom. Hillside 7 16 2:44AM 2500 Ridgeland Rd Glass Panel removed to unlock door for entry, Suspects fled when victim awoke, screamed and chased them out of the residence.
