This report is for Sunday, January 5, 2014 through Saturday, January 11, 2014.
 
RESIDENTIAL BURGLARIES
There were 14 residential burglaries in Torrance.
4 in North Torrance, 4 in Southeast Torrance, 2 in Old Torrance, 2 in West Torrance,
1 in Hollywood Riviera and 1 east of the Madrona Marsh.
 
Sunday, Jan 5 9AM to Sunday, Jan 12, 6PM             2400 Block 236th St (Arlington – Pennsylvania)
Window smashed for entry and residence ransacked.  Unknown property loss
 
Monday, Jan 6 12:30PM to 2:30PM                         1900 Block 230th St (Walnut – Cabrillo)
Sliding glass door smashed for entry.  Residence ransacked and property taken including
safe, cash, handguns, rifles, shotguns, ammunition, keys, documents, laptop and jewelry.
Dog put in bathroom.
 
Tuesday, Jan 7 8AM to 10:42AM                             1900 Block 236th St (Walnut – Cabrillo)
Window smashed for entry.  Unknown if property loss at time of report.
 
Friday, Jan 10  11AM to 4:17PM                              1900 Block 237th St (Walnut- Cabrillo)
Screen removed, window entered for entry.  Residence ransacked and cash, purse, jewelry,
tablet, laptop, and credit cards stolen.
 
AUTO BURGLARY
There were 6 auto burglaries in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance.

Paper Shredding and Electronics Recycling for Torrance Residents Only

City of Torrance Public Works is holding an Earth Day recycling event for free paper shredding and electronics recycling. Saturday, August 21, 2021 8 a.m. - noon Torrance City Hall East Employee Parking Lot (near Torrance Courthouse off Maple Avenue) The Recycling Event is for TORRANCE RESIDENTS ONLY.
