Several SETHA members
have asked about why I no longer send out the weekly crime report
for
our area. I compile
the information from the Torrance Police Department website but the
last
entry was made on
December 15, 2013. The website indicates they are having technical
difficulties.
Unfortunately, the
residential burglars are back in Southeast Torrance. SETHA members have
reported
two residential
burglaries this week. Here are the details:
Monday, January 6th,
12:30PM to 2:30PM, 230th St and Walnut
Large dog locked in
the bathroom by the suspects and a 500+ pound safe was
taken.
Tuesday, January 7th,
residential burglary, north side of Sur La Brea
Park.
Burglars entered
residence by unknown means and alarm was activated.
No additional details
on property loss.
One victim reported
that Torrance Police indicated there have been a rash of break-ins in
the
area from Sepulveda
Blvd on the north to 238th Street to the south from Arlington on the
west
to Walnut on the
east.
Vehicle of
Interest
A white 4 door pickup
truck similar to a Toyota Tacoma or Tundra.
A SETHA member has
reported there was a residential burglary during the day
on
Thursday, December
19th in the 2100 Block of 235th Place. This is
between
Cabrillo and
Arlington.
A sliding glass door
in the rear of the house was broken for entry. No
additional
information is
available.
