 This report is for Sunday, June 30, 2019 through Saturday, July 6, 2019. There are 28 incidents on the Torrance Police Department Weekly Crime Log at: https://www.torranceca.gov/home/showdocument?id=52773   ////Added Item Earlier, this afternoon, a woman was loading groceries in the trunk of her vehicle at Sam’s Club on Skypark Drive in Torrance and her purse was stolen.     Torrance Police were notified and spotted the suspect’s vehicle, a Kia, and attempted to make a traffic stop. A pursuit ended near 77th and Main Street where the suspect’s vehicle crashed into a motel. Alleged Torrance Hit-Run Vehicle Joy Ride Ends Up Hanging in Palos Verdes Estates

  On Monday, June 30th at 12:29PM, Palos Verdes Estates Police Department received a call about a traffic collision.    That is the just beginning of events to follow,.   John Bailey, President Southeast Torrance Homeowners’ Association, Inc.  (SETHA) Report from the Palos Verdes Estates Police (PVEPD) Yesterday at about 12:29 pm, PVEPD received calls regarding a major traffic collision. Officers arrived 2 minutes later (yes two minutes!) and quickly assessed the scene. While doing so, the officers immediately noticed the smell of natural gas and saw a water leak. Those utilities were shut down quickly, because that could have caused a huge explosion and catastrophic damage.  Los Angeles County Fire Department  (including Urban Search and Rescue) arrived to medically evaluate  the driver and examine the structure. Arrest Made in Del Amo Mall June 3, 2019 Shooting

Fireworks Show at Lomita Park, Saturday, June 29, 2019 at 9PM

 T his report is for Sunday, June 16, 2019 through Saturday, June 22, 2019. 46 incidents in the Torrance Police Department Weekly Crime Log at: https://www.torranceca.gov/home/showdocument?id=52449   RESIDENTIAL BURGLARIES There were 2 in Torrance.  1 in North Torrance and 1 in Southeast Torrance.   6/21  8PM to 6/22 7AM     2200 Block 236th Street  Residence being fumigated. Window screen on house tented for fumigation removed, property ransacked and binoculars, camera and jewelry stolen.   6/18 7:30PM to 6/19 7:45PM    2000 Block 159th Street   Screen pried off window and attempt to slide window open failed.  No entry, no loss.   AUTO BURGLARIES There were 13 in Torrance and 2 in Southeast Torrance. 8 vehicles were unlocked, 1 vehicle had window smashed, 3 vehicles were unknown entry, and 1 vehicle the window was forced.   6/20 9:30PM to 6/21 7AM  2...
