Weekly Crime Report for January 24 through 29, 2021

This report is for Sunday, January 24, 2021 through Friday, January 29, 2021. There are 39 incidents in the Torrance Police Department Weekly Crime Log at: https://www.torranceca.gov/home/showpublisheddocument?id=63134 RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY There was one in the 25900 Block of Rolling Hills Road where multiple mail boxes were pried open with mail and parcels taken. AUTO BURGLARIES There were 8 in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance. Windows were smashed in 4 vehicles, 2 were unlocked and entry was made in 2 vehicles by unknown means. Items stolen included a laptop, credit card, duffel bag, food, wallet, clothes, cosmetics,purse, socket set, backpack, tablet, tote, bike parts, tool bag, tools, boots, flashlight and cash. AUTO THEFT There were 6 vehicles stolen including 1in Southeast Torrance. 1 25 2021 7:23 AM 2200 Block 236th Place Stolen 97 Toyota 4Runner Other vehicles stolen this week included a 2001Silverado, 2002 Silverado, 2002 Ford F550, 1997 Chevy Express and a 1998 Chevrolet S10 pickup. THEFT There were 11 incidents in Torrance including 1 in Southeast Torrance. 1 26 6PM to 1 27 7:50AM 2100 Block 237th St Stolen catalytic converter. Paper Shredding and Electronics Recycling for Torrance Residents Only

City of Torrance Public Works is holding an Earth Day recycling event for free paper shredding and electronics recycling. Saturday, August 21, 2021 8 a.m. - noon Torrance City Hall East Employee Parking Lot (near Torrance Courthouse off Maple Avenue) The Recycling Event is for TORRANCE RESIDENTS ONLY.
