This report is for Sunday, January 17, 2021 through Saturday, January 23, 2021. 55 incidents in the Torrance Police Department Weekly Crime Log at: https://www.torranceca.gov/home/showpublisheddocument?id=63044 RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY There was one attempted burglary in the 3700 Block of 182nd Street. A window screen was cut but no entry. Property was taken out of the yard. AUTO BURGLARIES There were 12 in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance. Windows were smashed in 5 vehicles for entry. 1 vehicle was unlocked. AUTO THEFT There were 13 vehicles stolen in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance. The vehicle of choice this reported period was the Chevy Silverado. THEFT There were 13 incidents in Torrance including 1 in Southeast Torrance. 1/20 to 1/21 23800 Block Arlington Ave Catalytic converter stolen. A total of 4 catalytic converters were stolen,4 bicycles and 3 delivered parcels. Delivered parcels were taken in the 1700 Block of Calamar St, 23900 Block Los Codona Av and the 3600 Block of Michelle Dr. John Bailey, President Southeast Torrance Homeowners' Association, Inc. Paper Shredding and Electronics Recycling for Torrance Residents Only

City of Torrance Public Works is holding an Earth Day recycling event for free paper shredding and electronics recycling. Saturday, August 21, 2021 8 a.m. - noon Torrance City Hall East Employee Parking Lot (near Torrance Courthouse off Maple Avenue) The Recycling Event is for TORRANCE RESIDENTS ONLY.
