Free In-Home COVID-19 Testing for Seniors
The City of Torrance is now providing free, in home, COVID-19 testing to at-risk seniors (65 and older) who live in the City of Torrance.  The COVID-19 nasal swab test (currently the most reliable indicator of the presence of Coronavirus infection) will be administered by Torrance Fire Department personnel in the comfort of your home.

At this time, testing is limited to Torrance residents 65 years of age and older who . . .
  • Are displaying symptoms of COVID-19
  • Have underlying chronic health problems
  • Have limited access to transportation.
 
Please note that testing appointments are prioritized for individuals on a first-come, first-served basis, and to only those that meet the testing requirements.
 
Appointment scheduling is available starting today, Monday, April 20th, 2020. Call 310-320-5918, Monday thru Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.   Check details below.

Paper Shredding and Electronics Recycling for Torrance Residents Only

City of Torrance Public Works is holding an Earth Day recycling event for free paper shredding and electronics recycling. Saturday, August 21, 2021 8 a.m. - noon Torrance City Hall East Employee Parking Lot (near Torrance Courthouse off Maple Avenue) The Recycling Event is for TORRANCE RESIDENTS ONLY.
