 INCREASE IN AUTO BURGLARIES AND AUTO THEFT IN SOUTHEAST TORRANCE THIS REPORTING PERIOD.
 
This report is for Sunday, December 2, 2018 through Saturday, December 8, 2018

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARIES
There were 4 in Torrance. 1 each in West, Hillside, Riviera and North Torrance.
 
AUTO BURGLARIES
There were 15 in Torrance and 4 in Southeast Torrance.
 
12/8 6:15 PM to 12/9 2 AM        24200 Block Huber  Suspect enters unlocked vehicle and took cell phone, keys, ID and paperwork.

12/3 6:30 PM to 12/4 5 AM        23000 Block Arlington  Suspect smashed window for entry and took backpack.
   Same time as above                  23000 Block Arlington  Suspect smashed window for entry and took owner’s manual.
12/2 8 PM     to 12/3 7:25 AM     1700 Block 244th St      Suspect forced open truck cargo boxes and took tools.
 
AUTO THEFT
There were 4 stolen vehicles in Torrance and 2 in Southeast Torrance.
12/2 10 PM                                 1700 Block 234th St  Stolen vehicle 1991 Honda Accord
12/8  2:14 PM                             23000 Arlington        Stolen vehicle 1991 Honda Civic
 
THEFT
There were 10 incidents in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance.
No reports of porch piracy.

Paper Shredding and Electronics Recycling for Torrance Residents Only

City of Torrance Public Works is holding an Earth Day recycling event for free paper shredding and electronics recycling. Saturday, August 21, 2021 8 a.m. - noon Torrance City Hall East Employee Parking Lot (near Torrance Courthouse off Maple Avenue) The Recycling Event is for TORRANCE RESIDENTS ONLY.
