RESIDENTIAL BURGLARIES
There were 3 in Torrance including 1 each in Southeast Torrance, Hollywood Riviera and North Torrance.
 
10 5 18     Friday   8:17 PM   Southeast Torrance 1900 Block 237th Place            Front door kicked in, property ransacked, unknown loss.
10 6 18     Saturday 2 PM     Hollywood Riviera    500 Block Palos Verdes Blvd    Suspect poses as city worker needing access to victims
rear yard, distracts her and accomplice entered residence taking safe and cash.
9 30 18    Sunday 5:30 PM   North Torrance        3900 Block 182nd Street          Attempt to force open door failed.  no entry, no loss.
 
AUTO BURGLARIES
There were 15 in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance.
3 were in the Crossroad Shopping Center.
 
AUTO THEFT
There were 6 in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance.
 
THEFT
There were 15 incidents in Torrance and 1 in Southeast Torrance.  No porch piracy reported incidents.
9 30 18 Sunday  7:15 AM  Southeast Torrance  23700 Block Lucille Av      Paint sprayer taken from side yard.
 
Purses were taken in 3 incidents on October 3rd and 4th from victims in the 19300 to 19800 Blocks of Hawthorne Blvd (Torrance Promenade)
Items were stolen from gym lockers in the 2700 Block of Pacific Coast Highway and the 19800 Block of Hawthorne Blvd.

Paper Shredding and Electronics Recycling for Torrance Residents Only

City of Torrance Public Works is holding an Earth Day recycling event for free paper shredding and electronics recycling. Saturday, August 21, 2021 8 a.m. - noon Torrance City Hall East Employee Parking Lot (near Torrance Courthouse off Maple Avenue) The Recycling Event is for TORRANCE RESIDENTS ONLY.
