Firefighters are battling a
three-alarm fire at a commercial building in the 22800 block of Hawthorne
Boulevard in Torrance.
One nearby business was
evacuated, Fire Department Capt. Robert Millea told City News
Service.
Hawthorne Boulevard is closed
between 226th Street and Lomita Boulevard as firefighters work to contain the
blaze. A Facebook Live video posted by the City of Torrance Fire
Department showed fire damage to Kid Concepts U.S.A.
The fire captain who hosted
the live video said part of the roof above Kid Concepts collapsed and that
nearby Centinela Feed & Pet Supplies was filled with smoke.
No occupants were found in
any of the buildings when fire fighters arrived and no injuries were
reported
