Construction on Crenshaw Blvd to Impact Traffic in SE Torrance

 Significant delays are expected. Alternate routes are recommended.


Below is an update of traffic impacts related to construction of the Crenshaw Blvd. rehabilitation from Sepulveda Blvd. to Skypark Drive and PCH to the south City limit.  Work occurs Monday, March 27 through Saturday, April 1 (weather permitting)

TRAFFIC IMPACTS

 Monday 3/27 thru Thursday 3/30: Northbound traffic from Skypark Dr to 235th St will be reduced to one lane on a 24-hour basis for asphalt grinding and paving. Left turns will be restricted as needed.

  • Friday 3/31 thru Saturday 4/1: Southbound traffic from 235th St to Skypark Dr will be reduced to one lane on a 24-hour basis for asphalt grinding and paving.
  • Monday 3/27 thru Saturday 4/1: South of PCH, one northbound and one southbound lane adjacent to the median will be closed from 9AM to 3:30PM
Construction will be ongoing through May 2017.

Paper Shredding and Electronics Recycling for Torrance Residents Only

City of Torrance Public Works is holding an Earth Day recycling event for free paper shredding and electronics recycling. Saturday, August 21, 2021 8 a.m. - noon Torrance City Hall East Employee Parking Lot (near Torrance Courthouse off Maple Avenue) The Recycling Event is for TORRANCE RESIDENTS ONLY.
