The AQMD Hearing Board will meet on Thursday, December 8, 2016 at 9:00 AM
in the Hearing Board Room at 21865 Copley Drive, Diamond Bar CA 91765.
 
One of the agenda items is the SCAQMD vs. Torrance Refining Company LLC – #6060-5
Order of Abatement.
 
On October 13, 2016, the SCAQMD announced several enforcement and rulemaking actions
aimed at reducing repeated and excessive flaring from the Torrance Refining Co. refinery.
The SCAQMD issued a Notice of Violation to the refinery for a violation of the agency’s Rule
402, which prohibits any facility from causing a public nuisance due to air pollution. Go to
