This report is for Sunday, August 7, 2016 through Saturday, August 13, 2016.
35 incidents were reported to Torrance Police during the reporting period.
 
 
RESIDENTIAL BURGLARIES
There were 4 in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance.
2 were in the Hollywood Riveria, 1 in Seaside Ranchos and 1 in North Torrance.
A unlocked second story sliding glass door was used for entry in one of the Riveria
burglaries and a window was left open in the Seaside Ranchos burglary.
 
AUTO BURGLARIES
There were 8 in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance.
4 vehicles were unlocked, a window was left open in 1 vehicle, a door lock was
punched in another and a window was smashed to gain entry in 1 vehicle.
Items stolen included Chargers, Ashtray, Cash, Fishing Pole, Tackle Box, Tools,
Laptop, Hard Drive, Registration, Registration Sticker, Purse, Drivers License, Credit
Cards, Cell phone, Paperwork, Shoes, and Sunglasses.
 
AUTO THEFT
There were 5 vehicles stolen in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance.

Paper Shredding and Electronics Recycling for Torrance Residents Only

City of Torrance Public Works is holding an Earth Day recycling event for free paper shredding and electronics recycling. Saturday, August 21, 2021 8 a.m. - noon Torrance City Hall East Employee Parking Lot (near Torrance Courthouse off Maple Avenue) The Recycling Event is for TORRANCE RESIDENTS ONLY.
