Weekly Crime Report for Southeast Torrance

  

This report is for Sunday, July 31, 2016 through Saturday, August 6, 2016.
56 incidents were reported to Torrance Police and the complete report
is in the attachment.
 
RESIDENTIAL BURGLARIES
There were two in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance.
1 at Spencer & Amie and another at 162nd St and Van Ness Avenue.
 
AUTO BURGLARIES
There were 18 in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance.
Entry was made by unknown means in 10 vehicles, 5 vehicles were unlocked,
windows were smashed in 2 vehicles  and the door lock was punched in 1 vehicle.
 
List of items stolen from the vehicles: Battery, Laptops, Blanket, Cash, Credit Card,
Stereo, Speakers, Video Games, Watch, Clothing, Camera, Golf Club, Power Tools,
GPS, Glasses, Keys, Paperwork, More Cash, More Clothing, Food, Rugs, Gate Opener,
Briefcase, Tablet, Bicycle, ID, Wallet, and Flash Drive.
 
AUTO THEFT
There were 9 stolen vehicles in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance.
Sometime between 5PM, August 6th to 2:43PM August 9th, a 2016 Audi S5 was
removed from a car dealership at 20460 Hawthorne Blvd. 
 
ROBBERY WEAPON
There were 4 incidents involving the use of a weapon in a robbery.  None were
in Southeast Torrance.

Paper Shredding and Electronics Recycling for Torrance Residents Only

City of Torrance Public Works is holding an Earth Day recycling event for free paper shredding and electronics recycling. Saturday, August 21, 2021 8 a.m. - noon Torrance City Hall East Employee Parking Lot (near Torrance Courthouse off Maple Avenue) The Recycling Event is for TORRANCE RESIDENTS ONLY.
