Street Slurry Project Underway in Southeast Torrance

Stephanie Comon, Associate Civil Engineer for the City of Torrance has provided the following
information on the street slurry seal program which is underway in Southeast Torrance.

John Bailey, President
SETHA

Hi John,

Please see below link to the project website and attached location map for the project.

For everyone’s reference, currently the contractor is out in your neighborhood doing preparatory work ahead of the slurry seal.  This includes sealing cracks in the street and performing localized dig-out repairs to deteriorated pavement (beginning Monday).  This work will take place over the next few weeks then slurry seal work will follow.

During the preparatory work, parking will be restricted however street closures are not anticipated, although traffic may have to be temporarily detoured during intersection work.

Once slurry seal work begins notices will be distributed to affected residents one week and two days in advance, as that work does require each street to be closed for one day, restricting access to and from each home’s driveway.

Schedule maps for the entire project will be uploaded on the project website for anyone to view at any time.

Please let me know if you have any questions,
