SETHA Members To Be Honored

Dr. Laurie Love, SETHA Vice President, will be honored by the Torrance City Council on September 15, 2009 for her many years of dedicated service to the community. She first began teaching in 1970 and retired last month from the Torrance Unified School District as Chief Academic Officer.

Dee Hardison, former SETHA President, will be honored by the Torrance City Council for her longtime service to Torrance with a resolution naming the gymnasium at Wilson Park, the "Dee Hardison Sports Center." Hardison was instrumental in the creation of Sur La Brea Park and involved in many of the large community projects including the Wilson Park Sports Center and the Madrona Marsh Nature Center.

Congratulations to Dr. Laurie Love and former Mayor Dee Hardison in receiving this recognition for their outstanding achievements and contributions to the City of Torrance.

Paper Shredding and Electronics Recycling for Torrance Residents Only

City of Torrance Public Works is holding an Earth Day recycling event for free paper shredding and electronics recycling. Saturday, August 21, 2021 8 a.m. - noon Torrance City Hall East Employee Parking Lot (near Torrance Courthouse off Maple Avenue) The Recycling Event is for TORRANCE RESIDENTS ONLY.
