This report is for Sunday, March 21, 2021 through Saturday, March 27, 2021. 43 incidents in the Torrance Police Department Weekly Crime Log at: https://www.torranceca.gov/home/showpublisheddocument?id=63875 RESIDENTIAL BURGLARIES There were 4 in Torrance. 1 each at Anza & Emerald, Delthorne, North and Riviera The burglaries at Anza & Emerald and Delthorne were incidents where multiple mailboxes in complexes were forced open with US Mail stolen. AUTO BURGLARIES There were 7 in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance. 3 vehicles were unlocked/unsecured and windows smashed for entry in 2 windows. AUTO THEFT There were 11 vehicles stolen in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance. 8 of the 11 were SUV's or pickups. A 96 GMC Sonoma, 98 GMC Sierra, 03 Ford Explorer, 04 Toyota Tacoma, 99 Chevy Silverado, two 06 Silverados, and a 08 Ford F250 Pickup continuing the trend of older model SUV's and pickups. THEFT There were 10 incidents in Torrance including 4 catalytic converter incidents with 1 in Southeast Torrance on March 22nd at 2:43PM in the 23200 Block of Arllington Avenue. Paper Shredding and Electronics Recycling for Torrance Residents Only

City of Torrance Public Works is holding an Earth Day recycling event for free paper shredding and electronics recycling. Saturday, August 21, 2021 8 a.m. - noon Torrance City Hall East Employee Parking Lot (near Torrance Courthouse off Maple Avenue) The Recycling Event is for TORRANCE RESIDENTS ONLY.
