 This report is for Sunday, May 7th through Thursday, May 11, 2017.
32 incidents are listed on the report.
 
RESIDENTIAL BURGLARIES
There were 5 in Torrance with 1 each in Southeast Torrance,
North Torrance, Southwood, Riviera and Old Torrance.
 
The residence in North Torrance was tented for fumigation and
entry through an unlocked rear door occurred in Old Torrance.
 
5/7/2017  3-4 PM 1900 Block 238th St
Suspect pried open rear door for entry and likely scared off by resident.
 
AUTO BURGLARIES
There were 8 in Torrance and 1 in Southeast Torrance.
 
5/9 10PM to 5/10 5:30 AM   2000 Block Reynosa Dr (Cabrillo to Arlington)
Vehicle window smashed and backpack & eye glasses stolen.
 
4 vehicles were unlocked, 3 vehicles had smashed windows and 1 vehicle had the lock pried.
Items stolen included:  Third row seat, ID, Bank cards, Training board, Gym Bag, 
MP3, Sunglasses, Gift cards, and Cash from four vehicles.
 
AUTO THEFT
1 vehicle was stolen in Torrance.
 
THEFT
There were 10 incidents.  Items taken included license plate, car battery, car cover, catalytic
converter and mail from mail boxes.

Paper Shredding and Electronics Recycling for Torrance Residents Only

City of Torrance Public Works is holding an Earth Day recycling event for free paper shredding and electronics recycling. Saturday, August 21, 2021 8 a.m. - noon Torrance City Hall East Employee Parking Lot (near Torrance Courthouse off Maple Avenue) The Recycling Event is for TORRANCE RESIDENTS ONLY.
