Weekly Crime Report for Southeast Torrance and Updates

This report is for Sunday, July 6, 2014 through Saturday, July 12, 2014.

 

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARIES

There were 11 residential burglaries in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance.

4 in North Torrance, 3 in West Torrance, 2 in Hollywood Riviera, 1 in Walteria and 1 in Old Torrance.

 

AUTO BURGLARY

There were 10 auto burglaries in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance.

Catalytic converters were taken in Torrance from 3 vehicles.  2 in North Torrance and 1 in the 800

block of Maple Avenue.

 

STRONG ARM ROBBERY
Friday, July 11th, 6PM, 2100 Block 235th Street

Suspect used an unknown object to hit victim in the head, causing injury and

took her purse.

COSTCO

The proposal for the new Costco store on the empty Rockefeller property on Lomita Blvd

will be on the August 6th agenda of the Torrance Planning Commission.

Southeast Torrance 7 12 5PM 2400 Block 235th Place Suspect entered open garage, entered residence via open access door, fled when resident yelled at him. No property loss Old Torrance 7 12 1AM 800 Block Portola Ave Suspected entered residence via unlocked door and fled when victim woke up in the bedroom. Hillside 7 16 2:44AM 2500 Ridgeland Rd Glass Panel removed to unlock door for entry, Suspects fled when victim awoke, screamed and chased them out of the residence.
