Weekly Crime Log for Southeast Torrance and Updates


This report is for the period from Sunday, August 4th through Saturday, August 10, 2013

 

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARIES  None reported for this period or the previous week.

 

However, a residential burglary did occur on Monday night, August 19th, in the 1800 block

of 238th Street (Walnut) between 9:30PM to 10:00PM.  The residents returned home while

the burglary was in progress.  One suspect ran away from the home and two male suspects

drove east on 238th St to Western Avenue.  An undetermined amount of personal property was stolen.

 

ESHELMAN AVENUE WATER MAIN REPLACEMENT AND PAVEMENT RESURFACING PROJECT

from Pacific Coast Highway to Lomita Blvd

Construction on this project is slated to start on Tuesday, August 27th from 8:00AM to 4:30PM

Monday through Friday through November 2013.

4,480 feet of 8” water main, 72 water service laterals and meter boxes, 8 fire hydrants, resurfacing

the entire width of the street with rubberized asphalt and street striping is included in the project.

Paper Shredding and Electronics Recycling for Torrance Residents Only

City of Torrance Public Works is holding an Earth Day recycling event for free paper shredding and electronics recycling.
