Traffic Alert

The northbound 405 freeway is closed from Crenshaw Blvd to Artesia Blvd until approximately 2PM this afternoon. A two car accident resulted in two highway construction workers being killed and another worker hospitalized with major injuries.

The accident occurred at 3:30AM in a construction zone near the Artesia Blvd off ramp. One driver has been arrested.

Suspect smashed window for entry but flees upon encountering witness inside location. No loss.

Updates on Commercial Property Changes
235th and Crenshaw Blvd The vacant One West Bank building on the NW Corner across from Lingley Chevron will
become a dentist’s office. The wood siding will be replaced with stucco.

Cookin Stuff Cookin Stuff moved yesterday from West Torrance to their new location at 2722 Sepulveda Blvd on the south side of Sepulveda. The store is next to Randy’s Produce and open today
until 5PM. Silkcraft previously occupied the location.

Southeast Torrance 7 12 5PM 2400 Block 235th Place Suspect entered open garage, entered residence via open access door, fled when resident yelled at him. No property loss Old Torrance 7 12 1AM 800 Block Portola Ave Suspected entered residence via unlocked door and fled when victim woke up in the bedroom. Hillside 7 16 2:44AM 2500 Ridgeland Rd Glass Panel removed to unlock door for entry, Suspects fled when victim awoke, screamed and chased them out of the residence.
