Straw Ballot Results on Torrance School Issue

The SETHA straw ballot was sent to 78 members via email and 26 members responded.

1. Would you vote for a $280 - $300 million dollar bond issue in Nov 2007 or June 2008?
Yes 18 No 8

2. Vote for one of the following options concerning Hull Middle School.

(4 Votes) Adopt the Relocation Committee recommendation to move the students to Levy.

(3 Votes) Combine Adams Elem & Wood Elem at Adams and make Wood the middle school.

(12 Votes) Install new portables to the Hull Middle School and open Hull in September utilizing the new portables. Permit students would be assigned to other Torrance schools. Approx cost for 25 portables is $2 million dollars.

Saturday, August 21, 2021 8 a.m. - noon Torrance City Hall East Employee Parking Lot (near Torrance Courthouse off Maple Avenue) The Recycling Event is for TORRANCE RESIDENTS ONLY.
