RESIDENTIAL BURGLARIES
There were three in Torrance.
8 24 2016 6:30 PM 20400 Block Osage Avenue (Delthorne Park
area)
Suspect enters unlocked door and took handgun.
8 23 to 8 24 2016 ` 23700 Western Avenue (Southeast
Torrance)
Suspect defeated door lock in trailer park and took sink, shower head,
toilet seats and fixtures.
8 22 to 8 23 2016 1100 Block Cerise Avenue (Madrona HOA area)
Suspect removed screen and possibly entered via unlocked window. Unknown
if property was stolen.
AUTO BURGLARIES
There were ten in Torrance and one in Southeast Torrance in the commercial
strip mall at 1700 Sepulveda Blvd.
4 of the 10 vehicles were unlocked.
Items stolen included a notebook, bag, checkbooks, jewelry, flash drives,
credit card, receipts, stereo, GPS, clothes, registration, insurance, laptop, tool bag, tools, remote,
sunglasses, tool boxes, gym bag, parking pass and shoes.
AUTO THEFT
There was one stolen vehicle in Torrance.

There were 22 incidents of theft reported in Torrance and none in Southeast
Torrance.

and 3700 Block Newton St (Walteria)
Stolen Car Battery
8 26 18500 Block Roslin Avenue
Two Stolen Tailgates from parked vehicles
8 24 to 8 25 5200 Block Zakon Road and 22900 Block Kathryn Avenue
(Seaside Ranchos)
//Note: Four tailgates were stolen from parked vehicles in the week of
August 7th to August 13th./

Stolen Wheels/Tires
8 21 to 822 3400 Block 187th Place (North Torrance)
//Note: LAPD Harbor Division has reported the same problem. Wheels and
tires are removed with the vehicles placed on cement blocks. LAPD suspect vehicle is a small
dark colored two door pickup truck with an open truck bed.
They suggest if you park on the street, use wheel nut
locks
