AQMD Torrance Meeting on the Torrance Air Quality Monitoring Project

 This AQMD meeting will include information on the benzene readings reported in the West High School parking lot.

The South Coast Air Quality Management District (South Coast AQMD) will host a community meeting to provide an update on the Torrance Air Quality Monitoring Project (Torrance Air).  The meeting will provide:
  • An update on the “Torrance Air” project;
  • Information on South Coast AQMD’s investigation related to the Torrance Air project and benzene readings; and,
  • An opportunity for Questions & Answers.

Representatives from Sonoma Technologies, Inc. and the Torrance Fire Department will also be participating in the meeting.

Southeast Torrance 7 12 5PM 2400 Block 235th Place Suspect entered open garage, entered residence via open access door, fled when resident yelled at him. No property loss Old Torrance 7 12 1AM 800 Block Portola Ave Suspected entered residence via unlocked door and fled when victim woke up in the bedroom. Hillside 7 16 2:44AM 2500 Ridgeland Rd Glass Panel removed to unlock door for entry, Suspects fled when victim awoke, screamed and chased them out of the residence.
