RESIDENTIAL BURGLARIES
There were 4 in Torrance.  One each in Southeast Torrance, North, Madrona and Old Torrance.
 
8 31 18 to 9 2 18   2200 Block 229th Place  Screen removed, entry via window with binoculars,
magnifying glass, cash and box stolen.
 
AUTO BURGLARIES
There were 10 in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance.
Items stolen included purse, laptop, cell phone, briefcase, another laptop, ID, another purse,
more purses, keys, breast pump, backpack, laptop, documents, gym bag, clothes, cash, credit cards,
ID, vehicle tailgate, keys, more cash, stereo, GPS unit, gym bag, speaker, another laptop, watches,
visor mirror and insurance papers. 
 
AUTO THEFT
There were 3 vehicles stolen in Torrance.
 
THEFT
There were 7 incidents reported and none in Southeast Torrance.
A delivered parcel was taken off a porch in the 2000 Block of Santa Fe Av (across from Torrance Park).
 
ARSON
There was one incident of arson in Southeast Torrance.
8 27 18  8:22AM   Parked vehicle set on fire.

Southeast Torrance 7 12 5PM 2400 Block 235th Place Suspect entered open garage, entered residence via open access door, fled when resident yelled at him. No property loss Old Torrance 7 12 1AM 800 Block Portola Ave Suspected entered residence via unlocked door and fled when victim woke up in the bedroom. Hillside 7 16 2:44AM 2500 Ridgeland Rd Glass Panel removed to unlock door for entry, Suspects fled when victim awoke, screamed and chased them out of the residence.
