Weekly Crime Report for Southeast Torrance 2 28 17 to 3 4 17

 
This report is for Sunday, February 26, 2017 through Saturday, March 4, 2017.
There were 49 reported incidents this period including 4 incidents of arson.
 
RESIDENTIAL BURGLARIES
There were 4 in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance.
2 in North Torrance, 1 in West Torrance and 1 in the Riviera.
 
AUTO BURGLARIES
There were 20 in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance.
9 of them were in North Torrance.  7 vehicles were unlocked,
6 were unknown entry, 5 windows were smashed for entry, 1
entry via pried window and 1 door lock punched. 2 of the 20
were daytime burglaries.
 
Stolen items:  Packs of cigarettes, registration, cash, charger, keys,
medical devices, sunglasses, GPS, boxes of documents, power tools,
light kits, case with screen projector parts, laptop, tote, patient files,
cargo pack, wallet, remote, insurance, guy bag, coat, shoes, cd’s,
ashtray, camera, cologne, Bluetooth, id, boots, microphones, eyeglasses,
clothes and aromatherapy machine.
 
AUTO THEFT
There were 3 stolen vehicles in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance.
 
ARSON
There were 4 incidents in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance.
March 4th or 5th at La Romeria Park at 19500 Inglewood Avenue.  See-saw set on fire.
Sunday, February 26th between 2 PM and 2:30 PM
3500 Block Carson St, 21400 Block Hawthorne Blvd, 21500 Block Hawthorne Blvd
Suspect or suspects entered open businesses and intentionally set fire to merchandise.

Southeast Torrance 7 12 5PM 2400 Block 235th Place Suspect entered open garage, entered residence via open access door, fled when resident yelled at him. No property loss Old Torrance 7 12 1AM 800 Block Portola Ave Suspected entered residence via unlocked door and fled when victim woke up in the bedroom. Hillside 7 16 2:44AM 2500 Ridgeland Rd Glass Panel removed to unlock door for entry, Suspects fled when victim awoke, screamed and chased them out of the residence.
