EPA Report on their Inspection at the Torrance Refinery and AQMD Meeting in Torrance on Saturday, April 1st

 
The EPA has released the report on the inspection of the Torrance Refinery conducted
from November 1 through November 4, 2016.  A summary of the very serious inspection
findings is attached.
 
This afternoon at approximately 2 PM, a flaring incident occurred at the Torrance Refinery.
This evening, the Torrance City Council will be voting on an agenda item concerning hydrofluoric
acid.  The meeting begins at 7 PM.
 
On Saturday, April 1st, the South Coast AQMD will be holding a hearing at the Torrance Marriott
beginning at 9 AM.  This is the link to the agenda:

Southeast Torrance 7 12 5PM 2400 Block 235th Place Suspect entered open garage, entered residence via open access door, fled when resident yelled at him. No property loss Old Torrance 7 12 1AM 800 Block Portola Ave Suspected entered residence via unlocked door and fled when victim woke up in the bedroom. Hillside 7 16 2:44AM 2500 Ridgeland Rd Glass Panel removed to unlock door for entry, Suspects fled when victim awoke, screamed and chased them out of the residence.
