Weekly Crime Report for Southeast Torrance & Street Sweeping Parking Enforcement

This report is for Sunday, December 6, 2015 through Saturday, December 12, 2015. 60 incidents were reported to Torrance Police during the period.   RESIDENTIAL BURGLARIES There were 6 in Torrance. 3 in North Torrance, 1 in Old Torrance, 1 in the Alta Loma Park area and 1 in Southeast Torrance. Garages were unsecured in 2 incidents, a window was open in 1 incident and a house was fumigated in 1 incident.   Tuesday, December 8th, 4:15 PM   2300 Block 236th St  (Arlington to Pennsylvania) Suspects knocked on front door, enter garage when no one answers and flee when confronted by witness.  No loss   AUTO BURGLARIES There were 17 in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance. Heavy Black Smoke from Recycling Yard Fire in the South Bay

    Details below from the Los Angeles Fire Department on the fire.  LAFD is currently in a defensive mood which means the black smoke will be continuing for a undetermined period of time. Weekly Crime Report for Southeast Torrance

This report is for Sunday, November 29, 2015 through Saturday, December 5, 2015. 62 incidents were reported to Torrance Police during the reporting period.   RESIDENTIAL BURGLARIES There were 5 in Torrance with 1 in Old Torrance, 1 in Seaside Ranchos, 1 in West Torrance, 1 in North Torrance and 1 in Southeast Torrance.  A window was left open at one house and a sliding glass door was left unlocked in another home.   Saturday, December 5th, 8PM to 9PM, 22900 Block Walnut St (Southeast Torrance) Suspect removed window screen, attempted to pry open the window with no entry, no loss.   THEFT There were 19 incidents of theft including 3 stolen parcels and mail.   Sunday, November 29th, 9:14PM to 9:17PM, 21900 Block Anza (Southwood) Delivered parcel taken from front porch.   Monday, November 30th, 2PM to Tuesday, December 1st, 1:30PM, 2300 Block Sonoma St (Old Torrance) Mailbox forced open and mail stolen.   Thursday, December 3rd, 5PM

Another Incident at the Torrance ExxonMobile Refinery

Weekly Crime Report for Southeast Torrance and Update on the new Costco

This report is for Sunday, November 22, 2015 through Saturday, November 28, 2015. 42 incidents were reported to Torrance Police.   RESIDENTIAL BURGLARIES There were 9 in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance.  2 in Hollywood Riviera and 1 each in Torrance Heights, Marble Estates, Hillside, Madrona Marsh area, Southwood Riviera, Walteria and North. Unlocked door in 2 incidents, unsecured window, open garage and unlocked garage in 3 other incidents.   AUTO BURGLARIES There were 14 in Torrance and 1 in Southeast Torrance. 11 24 15    6:30 AM to 7:30 AM   1800 Block Schilling Court Suspect enter unlocked vehicle, ransacked and took purse.   Entry was made in 5 of the incidents by unknown means, 4 by smashing windows, 2 vehicles were unlocked and door locks were punched in 2 vehicles resulting in 3rd row seats being stolen.    AUTO THEFT 2 vehicles were stolen and none in Southeast Torrance.   LOMITA No residential burglaries.  2 stole

Santa Coming to Southeast Torrance on December 2nd and 3rd

The Torrance Police Santa Float is coming to Southeast Torrance.   Wednesday, December 2, 2015  Sepulveda to 239th Street, Crenshaw Blvd to Arlington Avenue         See map #4 in the attachment for the route. Thursday,     December 3, 2015  Sepulveda to 242nd Street, Arlington Avenue to Western Avenue         See map #5 in the attachment for the route.   Santa leaves the Torrance Police station at 5PM.  You can track Santa’s float this year by going to    https://graticule.link/g/#track/77403f87...   So at 5PM you will see Santa flying through Torrance on his way to Southeast Torrance.  Then the pace slows down once the float makes the various stops along the way.  This tracker will come in very handy with the chilly evenings.
