More at the Southeast Torrance Library

Ukranian Easter Eggs Saturday, March 15, 2008 10AM and 1PM. SOLD OUT Call the SE Torrance Library to be added to the wait list. 310 530 5044. If there is enough interest, a 3rd class will be added on March 29, 2008 at 10AM. Call now. Ukrainian Easter Eggs, called Pysanka, use a wax resistant technique similar to batik for their intricate designs and bright colors. Participants will learn a little of the history, the technique used and decorate their own egg. All supplies will be provided by the Friends of the Torrance Library. Make a Memento Bookmark Saturday, April 12, 2008, 10AM Make a treasured memento bookmark in honor of National Library Week using the needlecraft technique called darning to make a pattern on fabric. All materials will be provided by the Friends of the Torrance Library. Space is limited for this free program, so please register by calling the Southeast Library at 310 530 5044.

Family Storytime Mondays, 7PM and Tuesdays, 11AM. No registration - just drop in. 30 Minutes Kids Knit All sessions are Tuesdays at 3:30PM. March 11, April 8, May 13 Boys and girls, ages 7 to 10 are invited to join the Southeast Library for an afternoon knitting. Yarn provided but please bring your own knitting needles. Young knitters are invited to the Southeast Library for a fun night of knitting crocheting and hanging out. Yarn and light refreshments provided.
